about

Lawrence Lindell is back with a 14 minute composition titled "Liberation is Truth". Stemming from a journal entry Lindell wrote, the piece explores his love of Jungle music, Jazz, film scores and African percussion. Lindell draws influences from each genre to create this captivating piece of music. After releasing his latest and last solo album, Lindell went into a reclusive state and started honing in on his craft. Before stepping to the computer to create this composition, Lindell wrote the entire piece on the piano first, then transformed the melodies and piano composition he wrote into what you hear now.

About the piece from the artist.
"I'm starting to focus on composing and releasing longer singular pieces of music. When I listen to jazz or classical music I've always loved how they compose these complex pieces that often span for 7 minutes or longer and they are able to keep you engaged and constantly transform the piece. I have been studying a lot of jazz compositions and film scores lately. I love the idea of one song/composition standing alone and taking you on a journey from start to finish much like an album, but in one piece."
